Lifting Supervisor
Job Description
Your role is to report to the Health and Safety Manager while doing the following:
Supervise and coordinate all lifting and equipment / material movement activities.
Conduct daily inspection on crane, lifting accessories, including chain slings, webbing slings, or wire rope slings, prior to commencement of work.
Plan, coordinate and manage all lifting operations carried out using a crane.
Preparation and submission of Crane Lift Plans, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments (RA), Permit-To-Work (PTW) for the lifting operations to be carried out.
Ensure the suitability and fitness for use of cranes, lifting equipment/ accessories are selected for work and ensure that they have the required statutory certifications and comply with other applicable requirements.
Ensure all workers and lifting crews engaged in lifting operations adhere to all lifting plan, procedures and directives as per local applicable laws and Company Policies.
Ensure lifting operations are carried out in strict compliance to the approved Crane Lift Plan and SWMS.
Conduct daily briefing on the Lifting Plan, SWMS & RA to the lifting crew and ensure it is understood and signed off.
Assist with routine maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant, machineries and equipment where required.
Assist in managing & controlling all plant, machinery & equipment includes selection, inspection and maintenance.
Accountable for safety & health management and performance of the organization.
To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
Requirements
Possess Lifting Supervisors Certificate or equivalent issued by NIOSH or CIDB or approved training providers.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Lifting Supervisor in construction
Having great knowledge in management of lifting, General Plant, Machinery and Equipment.
Possess own transportation.
Hardworking, responsible and solution-oriented.
Physically fit and healthy.
Punctual, with a good attitude to learning
